Rara Trek
Situated in Mugu district, Karnali Zone, Western Nepal Rara Lake is the biggest and largest lake in Nepal. Its incredible beauty leaves anyone speechless. The lake is also known as Mahendra Daha, named after the late king. It covers an area of 10.8 Km square located in the altitude of 2890m. Actually, the region around Jumla and Rara Lake is still considered to be relatively unexplored.
Rara Lake can almost be called sacred because of its spectacular beauty; people say it’s almost like seeing heaven. Rara Lake is protected by the Rara national park which also consist many amazing wildlife such as the Himalayan Black Bear, Black Panther, Leopard, Musk Deer, Wild Boar, Red Panda, Rhesus, and Languor Monkeys along with numerous species of birds.
