Manaslu is a Sanskrit name given to the mountain which means “Mountain of the Spirit”. Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of those classical treks where you get to experience the grandeur of spectacular Himalayan ranges and appealing natural beauty amid remoteness. Manaslu Circuit Trek Nepal is one of the less crowded treks, which makes it more exclusive and unspoiled for trekkers seeking thrill in quieter routes. This trek takes you to the base of Manaslu (8156m), the 8th highest mountain in the world, and walks you through amazing monasteries amid traditional settlements.
Manaslu Circuit Trek Itinerary starts with your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. After a brief stay in Kathmandu valley, the trip begins at a very low altitude in Arughat and progresses slowly to the highest point of the trek, i.e., Larkya La Pass (5160m), which is always adorned with colorful prayer flags. During the Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal, you will cross spectacular suspension bridges, terraced fields, pasturelands, waterfalls, and experience many Buddhist rituals and practices. You will pass through the subtropical jungle at lower altitudes and witness remarkable mountain views.You will come across a wide range of flora typical of the mid hills and alpine regions of Nepal. Vegetation found here are the pine and rhododendron, while wildlife includes the barking deer, pika and Himalayan marmots. Some of the birds found here are the pheasant, raven and chough. The trek requires some tough walking amid the glaciers and moraines, and sometimes strenuous climbing on stone steps, but also allows you to walk through beautiful Mani walls encrypted with Buddhist prayers. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our representatives will welcome you and then take you to the 3-star hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Permit Procedure and Full Day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu Valley by private van

After a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel, your tour guide will meet you at the hotel premises. You will then be taken to the Monkey Temple aka Swayambhunath. After that, you will visit the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath and then the Buddhist pilgrimage of Boudhanath stupa. You can stop for lunch and dinner at the restaurants recommended by your tour guide.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola 810m/7 hours


After an early morning breakfast, you drive to Soti Khola on a land cruiser. You will follow the Budhi Gandaki River towards the northern side and pass through Morder and Simre villages. It will be a bumping and winding dirt road drive which will take around 6-7 hours. Overnight in Soti Khola

Day 04: Trek from Soti Khola to Khorlabesi 920m/5 hours


Today you cross the suspension bridge over Soti Khola and trek through the forest on a narrow and rocky trail. There are many waterfalls along the trail.  You make your way past the paddy fields and end up in the beautiful Gurung village, Lapubesi. Further trekking through the sandy riverbed and stone ridges will take you to Machha Khola. Then trek continue until reaching the village of Khorlabesi. This day of trek will take almost 5-6 hours. Overnight in Khorlabesi.

Day 05: Trek from Khorlabesi to Jagat 1340m/6 hours

You cross over Khorlabesi and reach the natural hot spring called Tatopani. After spending some time here, you climb a hill and cross the suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki River. Climb down the stairs and cross another suspension bridge, then you arrive in Jagat. It will be a 6-7 hours trek.  Overnight in Jagat.

Day 06: Trek from Jagat to Deng 1860m/7 hours

On this day, you climb over the rocky ridge to reach Salleri. You then head towards Sirdibas and continue the trek passing a long suspension bridge to reach Philim. Crossing the fields, you will reach Ekle Bhatti where you will have lunch. Then you pass through the bamboo forest and cross a stream to reach Deng. Overnight in Deng.

Day 07: Trek from Deng to Namrung 2630m/6 hours

Today’s trek is a little longer and harder.  It will be a 5-6 hours trek. There are many mustard fields and waterfalls along the way. As you head further, you can see carvings on the stones of various images of Buddha in meditation. You pass the rhododendron forests and cross some wooden bridges.  Then, a climb through some stairs and a walk through the pine forest will take you to the neat village of Namrung.

Day 08: Trek from Namrung to Samagaon 3520m/7 hours

We leave Namrung early in the morning and walk across Honang River. After some hours of walking, you reach Lho Gaon, from where you can get a good view of Mt Manaslu (8156m). It will then be an easy walk to Shyala (3500m) through the pine and rhododendron forest. As you move ahead, yak pastureland and stone houses come into your sight. Overnight in Samagaon.

Day 09: Acclimatization day. Hiking to Manaslu Base Camp 4400m/8 hours

This day is set for you to rest and get adjusted to the high altitude.  There are various places to visit in Samagaon like Birendra Tal or Anie Gompa. Afterward, the team will hike up to Manaslu Base Camp. From the base camp, you get a wonderful view of Mt Manaslu (8156m).  After spending some time at the base camp, you return back to Samagaon for the overnight stay.

Day 10: Trek from Samagaon to Samdo 3875m/4 hours

After breakfast, you follow the Budhi Gandaki River and cross a suspension bridge. The trek further is easy as you pass Mani walls and juniper forests. This trek will take 3-4 hours. Your final destination of the day is Samdo village, which is dedicated to yak herding as it has more animals and fodder than the human population. Overnight in Samdo.

Day 11: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala 4460m/4 hours

It will be an early morning trek as you head for Dharamsala. This trek will take around 3-4 hours. Walking past monasteries, you cross the bridge over Budhi Gandaki River to arrive in Larkya Bazaar. From there on, you ascend on the moraines of Syacha Glacier as you walk through the Mani walls and stone huts until you arrive in Dharamsala. You get to see some great views of the snowcapped mountains. Overnight in Dharamsala.

Day 12: Trek from Dharamsala to Bimthang 3590m/8 hours via Larkya La Pass 

A short walk takes you to a valley which offers great views of Cheo Himal (6812m) and Larke Peak (6249m). Ascending on the steep and icy trail through Larkya Glacier, you reach the top of Larkya La Pass (5160m), the highest point of this trek. The pass provides wonderful views of mountains like Himlung (7126m), Annapurna II (7937m), and Cheo Himal (6812m). You then descend to a more leveled path and make your way to Bimthang. Overnight in Bimthang.

Day 13: Trek from Bimthang to Tilije 2300m/6 hours

After breakfast, you trek downhill through the bamboo, rhododendron, and pine forests. Lunch will be at a small tea house on the way. After 5-6 hours of trekking, you arrive in Tilije which is a large Gurung village. Witness the architecture and culture of the village and enjoy the local meal. Overnight in Tilije.

Day 14: Trek from Tilije to Tal 1700m/5 hours

It’s an easy trek from Tilije to Tal as you follow Marsayangdi River through the bamboo forests to Dharapani. You stop at a gompa in Thonje and cross a suspension bridge over Marsayangdi River. You can witness the spectacular view of Mt Manaslu (8156m) from Thonje. You continue the trek, and crossing a Mani wall, you arrive in Tal. Overnight in Tal.

Day 15: Trek from Tal to Syange 1100m/5 hours

Crossing Marsayangdi River, you trek to Syange village. Descending through the woods and passing through the waterfalls you reach Jagat village.  Then it will be another downhill walk to Syange village. Overnight in Syange.

Day 16: Drive from Syange to Kathmandu via Besisahar by 4W land cruiser

In the morning, we take the land cruiser and drive back to Kathmandu.  It will take 7 hours to get back to Kathmandu.  The glorious mountains and fascinating landscapes will accompany you on your way to Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, the company van will take you to the hotel. Overnight at 3-star hotel.

Day 17: Final Departure from Kathmandu

The 17 days long trip comes to an end. After a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel, our team representative will transfer you to the airport 3 hours before your flight schedule.
