Lhasa Escapade Tour- 5 Days

Day 1
Arrival in Lhasa (3,650m/11,972ft)
You have the option to reach Lhasa via direct flight from Nepal or via mainland China. If you want to fly from Nepal, then you have the opportunity to enjoy great view of Everest (8,848m), Kanchenjunga (8,536m) and other Himalayan peaks and glaciers. Nonetheless after reaching Lhasa we head to our Hotel and health advisor suggest taking plenty of rest for the remainder of the day in order to minimize altitude sickness.

Day 2
Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace and Tibet Museum
Our sightseeing start after a lovely breakfast. First, we visit the beautiful Potala and Norbulingka Palaces. The place was built in the 17th century; Potala Palace gives the opportunity to have a glimpse of amazing views of the entire city and the private quarters of the Dalai Lama. Later on we will hear for the Tibet Museum, which has a permanent collection of around 1000 artifacts related to the cultural history of Tibet.

Day 3
Ganden Monastery and Drayerpa Cave
We start of early morning with a drive to Ganden Monastery, this place is situated at the top of Wangbur Mountain (3,800m) in the Lhatse County. This place is one of the oldest and one of the ‘great three’ of the six Gelug Sect monasteries in Tibet. Ganden Monastery has exceptionally elegant sculptures. Later on we drive to Drayerpa Cave situated in the beautiful valley with a stunning landscape. There are more than 30 caves for Lamas who wish to meditate in a silent environment. In the evening, we drive back to Lhasa and spend the night.

Day 4
Sera and Drepung Monastery, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar
We start with an early breakfast in the morning and visit Drepung Monastery. The monastery was built in the 14th century, is has an old myth to have sheltered around 10,000 monks in the past. Sera Monastery is another sacred place, a preserved monastery, its attraction is the white-washed walls and golden roofs. Jokhang Temple is another important sacred shrine which opens even more secrets with more deep-seated mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism. Later on, we will see the local Barkhor Bazaar and end the day

Day 5
Final departure
Sadly it’s the day that our tour ends. We will leave the beautiful Lhasa City today. Our office representative will take you to Lhasa airport for our onward journey.
