Bardiya Jungle Safari
Bardiya National Park is located at the Western-Terai Bardiya District of Nepal, it covers the area of 968 square kilometers. Bardiya National Park is considered to be the largest and least distributed wilderness spread in Terai and is predominantly Sal forest sprinkled with tall grasslands. In fact, this National Park is bounded by the Churia Hills on the north and Geruwa River & Karnali River on the west. Here, your chances of spotting a tiger are highest where you also can see the other diversity of flora and fauna. Mainly, you will get a chance to observe rhinoceros, leopard, elephant, blue bull, swamp deer, langur, barking deer, sloth bear, and Jungle cat, among many others. And few wild elephants and some of the males are considered to be the largest in Asia. Bardiya national park is famous for elephant and jeep drive into the jungle.
Here, Geruwa River is considered to be the home of famous masher game fish, marsh mugger crocodiles, freshwater Gangetic dolphins and gharial. Bardiya National Park safari also possesses king cobras, pythons and kraits. In addition to that, the park boasts more than 250 species of birds including the endangered Bengal florican along with Sarus crane and many other species of geese, parakeets and duck.
